Here at Chaos Created, we believe in the power of creative, accessible and inclusive design to make a positive impact. This is especially true when it comes to early childhood education centres. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Cashmore Early Years Centre in Bristol, UK, to design and develop their new website.
The amazing team at Cashmore approached us because their existing website had not kept up with changing technologies. It wasn’t accessible or mobile responsive, and the team could not effectively update it.
Cashmore Early Years Centre is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can learn, socialize, and build self-confidence. They aim to give every child a great start by fostering a love of learning and positive relationships.
Our challenge was to create a website that reflected these values. We wanted a site that was not only informative for parents but also engaging and welcoming for children too, as the Cashmore team often share songs, videos and other resources.
Here’s what we achieved:
- A Warm and Inviting Design: We used bright colours, friendly fonts, and playful imagery to create a website that is visually appealing to young children. We created a new logo for Cashmore Early Years Centre that paid homage to their current logo but felt more modern and playful.
- Clear Information for Parents: The website provides clear and concise information about the centre’s philosophy, curriculum, and session times. We also made it easy for parents to find contact details and learn about eligibility for free childcare.
- Focus on User Experience: Easy navigation and a mobile-friendly design ensure a smooth user experience for parents on the go. The Early Years Centre is part of a diverse and vibrant community, so we added instant translation to the website to ensure that it was inviting and welcoming to all.
We’re thrilled with the final website and it’s already proving to be a valuable resource for Cashmore Early Years Centre and the Bristol community.
