The Chaos Created team have been working with Reel Fun Fishing, based in Portishead, on their new website and online store.

Reel Fun fishing was established by Steve Cole in 2002. Located in the boatyard in Portishead, Reel Fun Fishing has become a destination shop for those fishing in Bristol Channel and the surrounding area.

Reel Fun Fishing contacted us after their original developer became uncommunicative, and we were thrilled to help them out. We developed their new online store, allowing the shop team to manage their products and stock levels in-house. Their website now beautifully showcases their extensive range of fishing products, which includes rods, reels, bait, and accessories, in a well organised and intuitive way.

We also developed the site’s delivery options to fit their needs, allowing them to ship orders locally and across Europe, with delivery calculated on location and the value of the customer’s shopping basket. During the pandemic, “click and collect” has become invaluable to Reel Fun, and this option is presented to their customers upon checkout. We’ll be helping them to extend this to fresh bait in the near future.

The website has been built to allow Reel Fun Fishing to grow their online presence. Steve Ace joined their team in June 2020. The name “Acey” is synonymous within the angling fraternity and he is probably one of the most experienced anglers fishing the Bristol channel, and he’ll be contributing blog posts and articles to the website in the future.

We also built into the site integration with Facebook and Instagram. The entire product catalogue syncs to both social media channels, allowing customers to shop from within the Facebook or Instagram app, which pushes customers through to the website to complete their order. This, along with the ability to tag products in future social media posts, will really help Reel Fun Fishing grow their online business.

You can visit the Reel Fun Fishing website at https://reelfunfishing.co.uk and we look forward to helping them grow their online presence going forwards.
