Chaos Created is currently working on bringing new maths games and activities to TES iboard through their Mastering Maths topic packs.
The TES iboard Mastering Maths progression provides KS1 learning materials with an emphasis on fun, creativity and imagination. Built around the new national curriculum, each topic aims to give all pupils a deep understanding of a specific concept or skill, incorporating approaches that have been successful in the Singapore maths curriculum.
All three topics in Unit 1 are now available:
Learning intentions: Counting 1:1; Counting and representing values; Counting forwards and backwards; Counting objects and matching a numeral to a value; Reading and writing numbers; Solving problems; and Talking about learning
Learning intentions: Counting and comparing numbers; Ordering and reading numbers from 1 to 10 (or 20); Identifying number patterns; Finding one more and one less than a number; Ordering numbers on a number line
Learning intentions: Splitting a total number into two parts; Finding different ways of splitting a total number into two parts; Identifying number bonds by counting; Memorising or mentally calculating number bonds to 10; Finding all possible number bonds to a total number
Resources for both packs include interactives, board games, table-top activities, oral and run-around games, as well as worksheets.
