WP_20140327_14_28_44_ProLast week, Chaos Created spoke at TeenTech in South Yorkshire. This was our second TeenTech event, and it’s something we’re very proud to be associated with.

TeenTech runs lively one-day events to help young teenagers see the wide range of career possibilities in Science, Engineering and Technology. TeenTech was founded in 2008 by Maggie Philbin and Chris Dodson to help the next generation understand their true potential and the real opportunities available in the contemporary STEM workplace.

The Doncaster event was a great success.

Ali Maggs from Chaos Created spoke alongside Liz Rice for Tank Top TV to over 300 pupils from 30 different schools. We spoke about our own work on apps – including Zombies Ate My City and Timedancer, and led three workshops about app development and design, allowing the schools to work up an ideas in their groups, presenting to other schools at the end of the session.

We also helped judge the ideas, awarding prizes for the most innovative ideas, focussing on taking advantage of smartphone technologies and sensors.

We’re involved with three more upcoming TeenTech events this Spring –Leicester (April 9th), North Wales (May 21st), and Basingstoke (17th June).
